Who We Are
Ministry to children has been an integral part of Community Bible Study since it’s foundation in 1975. Each class with a Children’s Ministry is led by a nationally trained Children’s Director who loves the Lord and has answered His call to give his/her time and talents to serve in this capacity. The Children’s Director leads and shepherds a group of Children’s Teachers and helpers in the class who also volunteer their time and talents to offer a warm, loving environment where children can experience God’s love. These Children’s Leaders are trained by their Servants Team at the beginning of each year and participate in continual training throughout the year.
Through the different aspects of the Children’s Ministry such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, craft, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where God’s love can be experienced. We also desire to help children grow and develop spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically and socially. CBS Children’s Ministry not only complements parents’ efforts but also assists and encourages parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives.
CBS Children’s Ministry offers programs for children of all ages from infants to teens. Babies are cared for and loved on by those serving in the nursery, and toddlers through teens are taught the Word of God through lessons and activities that are suitable for each age group.
Although CBS Children’s Ministry programs are available for all age groups, not all programs may be offered in every class depending on the demographics of the children, number of teachers serving in the class and the availability of facilities to accommodate the needs of the programs.
The National Children’s Team, consisting of seven members from all over the United States, who are passionate about empowering the next generation for Christ, administers National Training and oversees all aspects of the Children’s Ministry.
